This assignment required me to draw a popular book's book cover. I chose Jurassic Park because I found its cover to be rather boring. I wanted to think about the way the book opens while I was designing it, which led me to illustrate a Dilophosaurus because of how its frills open up. One other thing I was required to do was include mixed media into the composition, so I scanned in a wood texture for the book's spine and photography of a jungle as the background.
